The Lumo sponsorship and grant application period is 1–30 September 2018
The Lumo sponsorship and grant programme is again open for applications from 1 September to 30 September 2018. The programme is aimed at supporting the hobbies of young athletes as well as their journey to success. More than 300 grants have been awarded since the programme was launched in 2012.
In 2019, sponsorship cooperation will support athletes to make it to the very top
Our sponsorship cooperation aims to support talented young sports people with the potential to make it to the very top. In 2018, the sponsored individual athletes are Henry Manni (wheelchair racing), Nooralotta Neziri (100m hurdles), Oskari Mörö (400m hurdles), Emmi Parkkisenniemi (snowboarding), Joona Kangas (ski slopestyle), Anna Haataja (orienteering and long-distance running) and Riikka Honkanen (alpine skiing).

The Lumo team sponsorship partners in 2018 are the Helsinki Figure Skating Club’s three synchronised skating teams competing at the national championships level (Helsinki Rockettes, Team Fintastic and Finettes), as well as five Academy groups.
Autumn 2018 grants for young athletes engaged in active sports as members of a sports club
The autumn 2018 grants are available to promising young athletes between the ages of 12 and 20 who have already engaged in active sports as a member of a sports club and who need financial support for their hobby. Lumo’s and VVO’s tenants are given priority in the selection. Grants are awarded for both team and individual sports. In autumn 2018, Lumo homes’ Lumo grants will be awarded to 25 young athletes. Lumo grants are awarded twice a year.
