Last October, Lumo launched the new Lumo kotinyt.fi apartment rental service that allows the customer to choose and rent an apartment immediately. The 24-hour online service has been well received and several hundreds of apartments have already been rented through it.
The service has been further developed by introducing new features that make it easier to find a suitable apartment. It is now possible to search for an apartment based on the number of available parking spots and limit the search entirely to new or renovated apartments. The customer can also sign up for an email alert based on their search criteria, and they will receive an email as soon as suitable apartments become available again.
“There has clearly been a need for this kind of new, easy service. We have received very positive feedback from customers, and we have used the feedback to improve the service even further and to make it easier to find an apartment that corresponds to the customer’s specific preferences. When an email about a new apartment arrives, the apartment can be rented immediately. In the best case, a new home can be found within minutes,” explains Pia Jaakola, Director of the Letting Unit at VVO.
In addition to the Lumo kotinyt.fi service, the same apartments are also available for renting on the Lumo.fi website where the customer can fill out a traditional apartment application if they don’t want to make the decision about renting right then.
“We provide broad online services also for our tenants: as soon as the rental agreement has been made, the customer is given access to extensive online services for tenants. Through those services the tenants may, for example, reserve parking spots and submit an electronic fault report. VVO Group will be investing in the development of digital services also in the future, as it is what our customers wish.”
