Kojamo is one of the most inspiring workplaces in Finland

Kojamo achieved an excellent result in its 2019 personnel survey and received “Finland’s most inspiring workplaces” acknowledgement for the third year in a row.

Corporate Spirit annually carries out a personnel survey among the most successful organisations in Finland and rewards the most inspiring workplaces. Kojamo is once again one of the most inspiring workplaces in Finland.

High response rate guarantees the reliability of the results

Kojamo’s latest personnel survey was conducted in the autumn 2019. All in all, 82% of the personnel took the survey. Thanks to the high response rate, the survey results can be considered reliable.

“I am especially pleased with Kojamo employees’ active participation and the development of the overall result. The trend is positive in all survey index groups,” says Kojamo’s HR Manager Jenni Marko.

According to the survey results, Kojamo’s values and goals are clear to our personnel and the strategy and the future outlook have been communicated well to them. Systematic strategy work and communications have borne fruit.

“Action plans and goals at the level of both teams and individuals have been linked strongly with the company’s strategy, providing a common direction and clear roles in achieving the goals,” notes Marko.

The personnel’s commitment to the company and work motivation have increased when compared to last year. At the same time, work burden and bureaucracy have decreased and leadership culture is considered to have developed in the right direction.

“One aspect of corporate culture development has been the renewal of habits, that is, the elimination of unnecessary rules and rigid structures. It is great to witness our success in this!” comments Marko.

According to the survey results, the company creates good conditions for the personnel’s well-being. Kojamo’s key strengths mentioned in the open feedback included, first and foremost, great colleagues and work community as well as team spirit.

“The personnel’s well-being is crucial for the implementation of the strategy. Everyone at Kojamo works together towards common goals – with a Strive for success attitude, in line with the company’s values, but always with a little twinkle in the eye,” Marko says, visibly pleased.

Operations will be actively developed on the basis of the survey results

The survey results show that there is strong belief in the further development of the company’s operations. Kojamo employees’ trust in the realisation of development actions clearly exceeds the average level among white-collar employees in Finland.

“Immediately after the results were ready, the Tuloksista toimintaan (From results into actions) workshop was organised for supervisors, where the most important development actions for 2020 were agreed. In the workshop, supervisors were also provided with tools for going through the survey results and developing operations at the team level,” says Marko.
