Kojamo has offered to help with emergency housing for Ukrainians

Responsibility is action, and Kojamo wants to be involved in helping to provide possible emergency housing for Ukrainians.

We have started discussions with the City of Helsinki, offering emergency housing from Kojamo’s property portfolio. The solution could be to offer an entire property for the purpose of establishing a reception centre. We are working in close cooperation with the City of Helsinki to find a suitable method of implementation.

If a large number of people in need come to Finland within a potentially short timeframe, the best solution would be to centralise housing and reception in order to deliver all the required assistance efficiently. Of course, consideration of the solution model is also tied to cooperation with the Finnish Immigration Service.

“At this stage, we have reacted quickly to the situation by offering our help, and it is important that the implementation of the solution model is carefully planned in cooperation with competent parties in order to provide the best possible solution for people in need,” says Kojamo’s CEO Jani Nieminen.

We will provide a more extensive statement if and when a suitable solution has been found through cooperation.
