Kojamo Group’s 47 summer workers have started their jobs in Helsinki and at other Lumo-kotikeskus locations around Finland. This year we received approximately 1,500 applications.
“We were happy to receive so many applications and to be able to employ on almost 50 summer workers,” says Anu Norro, HR Manager at Kojamo plc.
Kojamo is participating in the Responsible Summer Job campaign for the fourth time, making itself known among future professionals in the industry. It’s a point of honour for the company to offer summer workers interesting tasks, as well as sufficient orientation and guidance for them in their work. We want to be fair and equal, and pay a salary that meets the requirements of the job. We also want to be sure that employment contracts and testimonials are handled properly. All in all, we want to be an exemplary and responsible employer in every way, including for our summer workers.
Summer positions include sales and service advisory positions, property management, and positions related to financial administration. There are many types of work available to support one’s studies in the field. Eager and diligent summer workers bring new energy to the company, providing the employer with fresh ideas and an opportunity to renew.
Important work experience for summer workers
Janne Yli-Monni started as a technical summer worker in May. His job description includes visiting many properties as part of various repair tasks. Janne says he has enjoyed working at Kojamo.
“The atmosphere here is great, and I really enjoy working in my team. I knew of
Lumo Kodit already from my previous jobs as an HVAC salesperson and in property maintenance.”
“It would be good to get a permanent job at Kojamo in the future. This is my field, so I’m happy to work here,” says Janne, who studies HVAC Engineering at the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
