Kojamo launched a new housing service at the Slush side event RecoTech on 4 December 2018: My Lumo is an online application that enables Lumo residents to book and buy services as well as pay rent via a mobile device.
Kojamo has developed digital services since 2008 and launched services including the electronic signing of lease agreements and the Lumo web store, where customers can sign a lease agreement immediately online.
In its first stage, My Lumo will provide residents with digital services that make their daily life more convenient, such as fault reports and the quick payment of rent via a mobile device.
Examples of the future uses of the My Lumo service include booking and buying home-delivered services, such as cleaning and food delivery services as well as booking shared club rooms or remote work facilities and placing orders for related services.
“Consumers are accustomed to getting better and more individualised services at a rapid rate of development, and we expect this same consumer behaviour trend to also emerge in housing. My Lumo is part of the resident’s digital service and interaction continuum, as our goal is to serve our customers better and better by making living and housing easier on a daily basis”, says Teemu Suila, Chief Development Officer at Kojamo.
My Lumo will be gradually introduced for use by all Kojamo tenants starting from the beginning of 2019.
Urban living is being turned into a growing set of services in cooperation with residents and partners
My Lumo is part of the Kojamo innovation and service platform, which provides residents and partners with a shared platform for the piloting and development of housing services. The innovation and service platform enables the refining of data and the opening up of data interfaces between different parties, which makes it possible to turn urban living into a growing set of services. One good example of a service that is already making daily life easier today is the Smartpost parcel point service introduced at 18 Lumo properties in cooperation between Posti and Kojamo.
Kojamo has joined the Platform of Trust, a programme coordinated by Suomen Tilaajavastuu Oy that aims to promote cooperation and the flow of data between various parties. Based on trust and openness, the Platform of Trust is a marketplace and platform on which various parties can develop their services .
“The Finnish property and construction sector is an appropriately sized market that serves as a test lab for new services, including services that have the potential to be scaled internationally. We want to be at the leading edge of the digital transformation of this traditional industry and create better urban housing”, Teemu Suila says.
