Lumo is building 94 rental apartments near the Urheilupuisto metro station in Espoo

Lumo Kodit Oy, in cooperation with Peab, is building high-quality Lumo apartments at Koivu-Mankkaantie 1b in Espoo. The privately financed rental accommodation consists of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments.

Construction of the properties begins in April 2017. Of the new Lumo homes, 71 are single- and two-room apartments of various sizes. There will be 23 three-room apartments, some of which will have a sauna. The average living space area of the apartments is 43 m2.

In addition to the apartments, four street-level commercial premises are being built on the site, with a combined area of 517 m2. Parking spaces, which are leased from a parking company, are in the parking facility on the same site.

Quality urban living

From the point of view of transport connections, the site is well situated, being close to the services in Tapiola. The Metro and other public transportation connections are close by. The area offers a wide range of outdoor leisure and sporting activities, for example an indoor skating rink.

“The privately financed Lumo rental apartments being built at Koivu-Mankkaantie 1b are a good addition to the range of accommodation that we have on offer in Espoo,” says Real Estate Development Director Kim Jolkkonen of VVO Group.

“We have built several housing cooperatives for VVO Group in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area,” says Petri Salonen, Peab Group’s Unit Director of residential construction for Southern Finland. Peab is the contractor for the project.

The project is scheduled for completion in February 2019.

VVO Group plc offers rental apartments and housing services in Finnish growth centres. The vision of the housing investment company is to be a pioneer in housing and the customer’s number-one choice.
