The key management of Lumo homes is now handled via a key machine network in Oulu. Digitalised key management has made the collection and return of keys smoother than before.
“We introduced the key management service in all Lumo buildings in Oulu about a year ago. Our new residents have been able to easily pick up the keys to their rented Lumo homes from a key machine — for example, during a shopping trip,” says Pasi Kujansuu, Lumo Homes Unit Director.
The key machines are mainly located in connection with grocery stores, so they are available from morning to evening. Lumo residents have praised the new service.
“For a family with children, it would have been difficult to find a suitable time slot during office hours to visit a key service point. The key machine made it easy for me to pick up my keys at a time that was convenient for me and my family. I received the service codes to the machine by text message and they worked really well,” says a resident who has moved from one Lumo home to another.
The key machines can also be used for returning keys.
“The new services of our local key management partner Caverion have made things more efficient for everyone involved. At the same time, key security has improved as we receive real-time information on key handovers and returns,” Kujansuu goes on to say.
Caverion’s EasyKey service package enabled the rapid digitalisation of key management throughout the Oulu region.
“It’s great that Kojamo has joined us in developing the digitalisation of key management and service models with which we can, together, improve the service experience for renters. EasyKey is an innovative, cost-effective and secure way to digitalise and modernise even large numbers of keys,” says Jussi Aaltojärvi, Head of Security and Safety at Caverion.
