100 new Lumo rental apartments for Saunalahti, Espoo

Lumo Kodit Oy has signed contracts with Hausia Oy for construction of Reelinkikatu 2 and Saunalahdenkatu 2 in Espoo. A combined total of 100 new privately financed rental apartments and two business premises will be built at these addresses.

Construction of the properties began in March. The Lumo rental apartments being built vary in size, from single-room apartments to family apartments with four rooms and a kitchen. The average size of the apartments is 51 m². In addition to the apartments, two business premises will also be built at these addresses.

“Good relationships and trust between the contractor and the developer, and flexible and quick solutions during the construction process ensure that the cooperation runs smoothly,” says Hausia Oy’s CEO Kari Kiviluoma.

A residential area by the sea

The properties are being built in the Saunalahti district of Espoo. There is a school and grocery store close to the properties being built. Linked to the school, which was completed in 2012, is a kindergarten and library. The area has very good public transport connections, including to Helsinki city centre, and the distance to the Länsiväylä motorway is 1.5 kilometres. The properties being built are close to Kummelivuori.

“Saunalahti in Espoo is a fast-developing seaside residential area that offers accommodation close to nature by the sea, but at the same time close to services,” says VVO Group’s real estate development manager Kim Jolkkonen.

The estimated completion time for Reelinkikatu 2 and Saunalahdenkatu 2 is September 2018.
