Tikkurila’s attractiveness as a residential area is growing – Lumo is responding to the demand with four new buildings

Tikkurila attracts residents who appreciate urban life close to nature. Lumo is familiar with the factors that attract new residents to the area, and four new Lumo buildings will be completed on Kielotie by the end of the year.

Tikkurila holds the number one position out of all the districts of Vantaa, among both people looking to buy and people looking to rent.* The region’s excellent transport links, wide range of continuously developing services and good recreational opportunities are attractive, especially to those who are looking for urban life close to nature.

Renters’ interest in Tikkurila has been taken into account in the offering of Lumo homes.

“We have been following the development of Tikkurila as a residential area for a long time and have increased the supply of rental housing in line with the growth in demand. Our newest Lumo buildings will be completed on Kielotie, within walking distance of everything one needs in their day-to-day life,” says Ville Kilpi, Area Director at Lumo Homes.

The Lumo buildings at Kielotie 34 are only half a kilometre away from the Tikkurila train station, from which you can travel by train to both the centre of Helsinki and the airport in 15 minutes. The Jumbo-Flamingo shopping and entertainment centre is also just a 20-minute bus ride away.

Tikkurila offers a lot of things to do and culture for many different tastes. The changing exhibitions of the Heureka science centre offer fun activities, especially for families with young children. There are more and more trendy cafés and restaurants, and various events bring in people from even further afield to have a great time in Tikkurila. There are many opportunities to take part in sport around Tikkurila – at the sports centre, indoor skating rink, indoor swimming pool, dance studios and gyms, and especially on the long jogging trails along the river.

“We have noticed that Tikkurila is a favourite of people who already live in the capital region, but also a popular choice among people moving to the capital region from elsewhere in Finland. It’s easy to live here,” Kilpi says.

Kielotie 34 has a total of 126 rental apartments with two different colour schemes, both of which can easily be used to create a personalised home. Each apartment has either a balcony or a terrace. The common areas include two saunas, two laundry rooms, drying rooms and spacious storage facilities for outdoor equipment. For motorists, there are parking spaces and charging stations for electric cars.

The new homes can be rented directly from the webstore

The Lumo homes at Kielotie 34 will be ready to move into on 1 December 2023. There are apartments for different needs: studio apartments, one-bedroom apartments and two-bedroom apartments. The homes can be rented directly from the Lumo webstore without a security deposit or an agent, and with a satisfaction guarantee.
