Lumo supports six sponsored athletes and team gymnastics
Lumo will support team gymnastics and six individual athletes in 2022. The selected sports are hurdling, cross-country skiing, wheelchair racing, artistic gymnastics and team gymnastics.
The six Lumo sponsorship athletes of 2022 are:
- Viivi Lehikoinen, hurdler
- Henry Manni, wheelchair racing
- Niilo Moilanen, cross-country skiing
- Oskari Mörö, hurdler
- Nooralotta Neziri, hurdler
- Emil Soravuo, artistic gymnastics
- The OVO Gymnastics club’s women’s first team OVO Team and the OVO Junior Team
“Since 2012, we have been supporting talented children, young people and top athletes with the aim of helping them reach their goals in sports. Long-term sponsorship cooperation helps athletes to focus on their objectives in order to achieve success in sports,” says CEO Jani Nieminen.
Nooralotta Neziri, Oskari Mörö and Henry Manni have been in the sponsorship programme since the beginning. In addition, the OVO Gymnastics club’s women’s first team OVO Team and the OVO Junior Team are in the programme for the third consecutive year.
The athletes commented on the upcoming cooperation as follows:

50 Lumo grants for children’s and young people’s hobbies in 2021
In addition to sponsorship, Lumo grants are awarded twice a year to 12–20-year-old athletes who show commitment to training and a passion for success to encourage them in their sporting careers. The grants are available to any promising young athletes who have already engaged in active sports as a member of a sports club for several years and who need financial support for their hobby. Lumo residents are given priority in the selection. Grants are awarded for both team and individual sports twice a year. In 2021, grants were awarded to 50 young athletes in total.
