Lumo-sponsored athletes for 2024 have been selected – Henry Manni: “I cannot put into words how much I appreciate this exceptionally long partnership”
The Lumo-sponsored athletes for 2024 are Henry Manni, Viivi Lehikoinen, Emil Soravuo, Juulia Turkkila and Matthias Versluis, as well as OVO Team.
Launched in 2012, Kojamo’s Lumo sponsorship programme promotes the well-being of Finnish children and young adults through exercise. With the help of the sponsorship programme, Kojamo supports athletes with the potential to make it to the very top. The programme emphasises the aspiration for long-term cooperation.
Kojamo will continue to support the 2023 Lumo athletes. The Lumo-sponsored athletes for 2024 are wheelchair sprinter Henry Manni, hurdler Viivi Lehikoinen, gymnast Emil Soravuo, ice dancer pair Juulia Turkkila and Matthias Versluis, and women’s gymnastics team OVO Team.
“We strive to establish long-term partnerships with athletes. All the Lumo athletes from last year will continue with us in 2024, and some of them have been part of the programme for a long time. I wish the selected athletes both success and joy in sports for the coming year,” says Jani Nieminen, CEO of Kojamo.
Henry Manni, who has been part of the sponsorship programme since the beginning, is delighted with the continued Lumo cooperation:

In addition to the sponsorship programme, Kojamo has been awarding Lumo grants to children and young people for over a decade. The grants have significant value for society, as they help to address the challenges associated with a lack of physical activity, marginalisation and loneliness.
The next application period for Lumo sponsorships and grants will take place in autumn 2024.
